I’ve been focused on search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) since the late 1990s, well before most people had even heard of SEO and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. I got my start in-house as a marketing director, and I started consulting in 2004. Since then, I’ve been helping small to medium-sized businesses and organizations increase their organic traffic, improve their websites and maximize the opportunities of paid search to generate more leads and revenue. Today, most of the websites I work on are built using content management systems (CMS), primarily WordPress and Drupal.

On-page SEO

After extensive keyword and competitor research – the foundation for data-driven SEO – I make recommendations for updates and strategies that will help your site rank higher in search engine results, which should result in more traffic and a better bottom line for your business. Technical SEO Audits

I build and regularly manage Google Ads accounts for dozens of businesses and organizations, large and small. The typical ad budget for advertisers I work with falls in the $1K-$10K a month range, and I have extensive experience managing $40K a month Google Grants for non-profit clients.

Analytics, SEO/SEM Reporting

My work produces measurable results. I provide monthly reporting for ongoing clients so they can monitor their website performance and the success of their SEO and SEM efforts. For those that want automated reporting, I can set up Looker Studio reports or Google Analytics dashboards. I can make recommendations for establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and goal tracking to make reporting more impactful, and I can implement goal tracking using Google Tag Manager.

SEO/SEM Training

Over the years, I’ve conducted many SEO and SEM seminars for organizations, both virtual and in-person. Seminars have ranged from shorter “lunch and learn” meetings to full-day training on WordPress SEO. Typically, I provide this training and coaching for in-house marketing teams.

Microsoft Advertising

Formerly known as Bing Ads, Microsoft Advertising can be a very successful marketing channel for many businesses. While it won’t drive as much traffic or as many leads as Google Ads, the ROI can be worthwhile. I build and maintain Microsoft Advertising campaigns for several companies.
